Mr. Keatinge is of counsel to the Denver law firm of Holland & Hart LLP. He practices in the areas of business organizations, taxation and professional responsibility. Mr. Keatinge has represented a wide variety of business organizations and their owners from small start-up companies to publicly traded corporations. He has acted as an expert witness on matters of business organizations, tax, and professional responsibility. He has written and spoken nationally in the areas of business law, tax and professional responsibility. Mr. Keatinge is the co-author of both Ribstein and Keatinge on Limited Liability Companies and Keatinge and Conaway on Choice of Business Entity, as well as law review and other articles on business, tax, and professional responsibility subjects. He is the former chair of the Committee on Partnerships and Unincorporated Business Organizations (now Committee on LLCs, Partnerships and Unincorporated Entities) of the ABA Business Law Section and the former chair of the Committee on Entity Selection of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. He also has been an ABA Advisor to the NCCUSL Drafting Committee on a Uniform Limited Liability Company Act, the Revision to the Uniform Limited Partnership Act, and the Revision to the Uniform Limited Liability Company Act. He has been an advisor for the ABA Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section on the Uniform Inter-Entity Merger Act and Model Entity Transactions Act and for the ABA Business Law Section on the Omnibus Business Organizations Study Committee. He is Chair of the Joint Editorial Board for the Uniform Unincorporated Organizations Acts between NCCUSL and the ABA Business Law Section. He was an ABA Business Law Section Ad Hoc Subcommittee to Comment on the Revised Uniform Partnership Act. He is a member of the American Law Institute and a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America (Corporate Law, Taxation, and Corporate Governance) for several years. He has been Chair of the Colorado Bar Association Taxation Section and Business Law Section. In addition, Mr. Keatinge has been a Visiting Professor at Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts, and an Adjunct Professor at the Universities of Denver and Miami.
