Mr. Weston is a principal in the real estate consulting and appraisal firm, Hunsperger & Weston, Ltd., Greenwood Village, Colorado. Mark has well over 20 years experience as an independent real estate appraiser, with special focus on valuation of conservation easements encumbering private land, mostly in the Western U.S., and valuation of other partial interests. He is a regular speaker and instructor at national Land Trust Alliance conferences, and Colorado Coalition of Land Trusts Conferences. He also co-authored the Land Trust Alliance's Tax Benefits & Appraisals of Conservation Projects, 2007. Weston serves as an Appraisal Instructor for the International Right of Way Association and is an Appraiser Qualifications Board Certified USPAP Instructor. Mark served two terms as a member of the Colorado Board of Real Estate Appraisers (1999-2005), is a member of the Colorado Conservation Easement Oversight Commission, and a past board member and president of the Colorado Coalition of Land Trusts. Weston holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Colorado College in English Literature (1974), and a Master of Arts from the University of Denver in Librarianship and Information Science (1978), Beta Phi Mu Honor Society.
