JANET A. MOORE - co-manages the Tax Department at JamisonMoneyFarmer P.C. and serves on the firm's Executive Committee. Her area of emphasis is tax planning for closely-held corporations, partnerships, LLC's and their owners. Janet serves clients in the construction, manufacturing, real estate, timber, oil and gas, retail, medical and professional services industries. She has experience in structuring mergers, acquisitions and sales of businesses and is a great resource in providing advice for clients in the area of new business development. Janet is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants where she serves on the State Tax Committee. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the Board of Trustees for the American Institute on Federal Taxation. Janet is a member of the Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee of the Business Council of Alabama and the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce. She is also a graduate of Leadership Tuscaloosa, a leadership-training program sponsored by the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce and business community leaders. ....

Janet graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting. She is a licensed CPA in Alabama, Arkansas and Texas. Janet began her career at an international firm in Texas where she worked for over six years. She joined the firm of JamisonMoneyFarmer P.C. in 1987 and was admitted as a shareholder in 1996. ....

With a passion for community service, she is the Past President of the Board of Directors for CAPS Ð Child Abuse Prevention Services and is also the Past President of the Board of Directors for Theatre Tuscaloosa. She and her husband, Mike, enjoy spending time with their son and are very involved in their church. ....
