BRADLEY J. SKLAR - is a shareholder with the law firm of Sirote & Permutt, P.C. where he is co-chair of the Corporate and Tax Department. He received his B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas, his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law, and his Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University. Brad served as the Co-Reporter for the Alabama Limited Liability Company Act and authored The Alabama Limited Liability Company Act, 45 Ala. L. Rev. 145 (published February 1994). In addition to his work on the LLC Act, Brad also served on the Alabama Law Institute Limited Liability Partnership drafting committee and is currently serving on the Entity Simplification drafting committee. He has served as President of the Alabama State Bar Tax Section and as President of The Birmingham Tax Forum. He is also a member of the Corporate Tax, Partnership and Limited Liability Company Sections of the American Bar Association. Brad also has served as an Adjunct Professor for Taxation for the Birmingham School of Law. Brad's Practice focuses on tax and transactional planning for business and investment entities. He advises clients on entity structure, existing growth, expansion plans and liquidity events, including sales, mergers and consolidations.
